“The upgrade has resulted in savings of $1.1 million per year in power, polymer and biosolids disposal costs by improving dewatering operational efficiencies at the WI WWTP. In addition, the upgrade increased the dewatering capacity at Ward’s Island WWTP by 50%, which allows the New York City Department of Environmental Protection to decommission a dewatering facility at one of its other WWTPs.”

Learn How Centrisys/CNP’s Product Portfolio Supports Emerging Wastewater Regulations

With stricter wastewater regulations, it is important for owners to make sure their treatment plants meet the latest requirements. Centrisys/CNP equipment allows plants to find cost-effective solutions to comply with the latest regulatory standards while still maintaining superior operational performance.

The benefits of combining Centrisys/CNP technologies increase a plant’s efficiency and get the most out of the equipment. The result: reduced energy consumption, decreased sludge volume, maximized nutrient removal, and improved operational cost savings.

    Biosolids Treatment Case Study

The Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment (CDPHE) implemented one of the most stringent phosphorous limits within the US at its Drake Water Reclamation Facility in Fort Collins, Colorado. The plant had up to 3 mg/L of phosphorus and ultimately achieved very low effluent phosphorus limits, below 0.5 mg/L.
